Hall sensor is divided into linear Hall sensor and switch Hall sensor.

(A) Switch Hall sensor is composed with the voltage regulator, Hall element, differential amplifier, Schmitt trigger and output stage. It outputs digital. There is a special form of Switch Hall sensor, called the lock-type Hall sensor.

(B) Linear Hall sensor is composed with Hall element, linear amplifier and emitter follower composition. It outputs analog.

Linear Hall sensors can be divided into open-loop and closed-loop. Closed-loop Hall sensor, also known as zero-flux Hall sensor. Linear Hall sensors are mainly used for AC and DC current and voltage measurements.
