The United Nations recognizes that the protection and improvement of the human environment is related to the well-being and economic development of people around the world, and therefore will be established on June 5 as World Environment Day. Through World Environment Day celebrations, we can build a broader foundation that will enable individuals, businesses and communities to better understand the need to protect and improve the environment and take responsible actions.

Since 1974, World Environment Day has become a public platform for people in more than 100 countries around the world to actively participate in environmental initiatives.
